Getting new 360 need quick help

I thought if you got a new xbox even if you had the same harddrive you would lose any games/videos you bought on live. When I got the box I have now the games I bought using my other box changed to demos and the videos were missing the license. But just recently some how Rez HD and geomentry wars 2 (only 2 games I bought) were back and I could play them again.

Now with this box I have about 8 or so games i've bought from Live. But im wanting to trade it because of troubles with the USB ports. And Basically all I wanna know is will these games transfer with my new box and same HD?? I Couldn't google this for shit so any replies would be much appreciated.
