I have vista home premium right now. I dont want to install it because I want to use the 64bit version. I remember a while back they had a trial you could download but if u put a real key in it would work just the same. Does anyone still have the link to this?

If you bought Windows Vista fully and legally you are entitled to the 64 bit version, you just need to get it from Microsoft. Windows Vista ULTIMATE comes with the 32 and 64 bit OS disks, the others just come with the 32 bit.Quote:

I know I am entitled to it. Microsoft wont let me do it. And on their ordering site for the cd you have to already checkout before you get the service phone number. SO I just wanted to use the trial disk because its the same damn thing
Is it OEM (did it come on the computer that you bought)? Or did you buy an OEM version? If you bought OEM you are NOT entitled to both versions. If you buy the retail version "off the shelf" as it were, than there should be instructions in the box on how to acquire your 64 bit download.
I got the disk free from microsoft through the upgrade program. Way back when I did it I remember being given the option then but that program is long gone.
