ATTN Amerifags
I've been doing some looking into Postgraduate stuff so I can have something to aim for and decided to look at the US to broaden my search a bit. But have no idea about your University system and that makes looking myself very confusing.
So, if you could help a lazy brutha' out thatd be good.
Just let me know if you know anywhere that has a good Social/Cultural Studies or relevant Department
But not DeVry. Judah Friedlander leads me to believe that DeVry leads to colossal but ultimately empty success.

If you mean post-baccalaureate, for social sciences you'll likely need a GRE and a TOEFL (although probably not since you're a britfag), letters of recommendation, possibly a letter of intent and transcripts from all post-secondary schools you've attended. Different schools will have very difference requirements though, for instance the GRE may be waived since you're foreign.
For social sciences, pretty much all the ones you've heard of from movies or tv are good: Stanford, Yale, Harvard, Princeton, etc. The University of Texas at Austin is one of the best public schools in the country, as is University of California (Berkeley), although Cal is probably on the way out due to morons managing the Californian books. For the most part, universities named "University of STATE" will be plenty good enough for social sciences, at least those named for larger states.
