Hanging out with an ex? Part II

Well as some of you may remember, one of my ex girl friends from back in HS about 7 years ago got back in touch with me about 6 months ago.
She currently lives in Dallas which is about 300 miles from where I live. She has come down a few times and every time she does, we pretty much hang out the entire time shes here.

I still care about her, but the fact that she lives so far away has made me look at her as just a friend because I knew we couldnt be in a relation ship. I mean we still have fun, but we are just friends.

Well I was talking to her today, and she said "I have a surprise for you." She then tells me that shes moving back home. Now I dont know what to do. I had gotten comfortable with us being friends, and Ill admit that took a little while. But now that shes moving back, that just opens up a whole other can of worms.

I guess Im just going to have to just sit back and see where this goes.

As far as sex, we have only done that a few times since we reconnected, and we kinda agreed on a "friends with benefits" kidna thing and said that if it made our friendship weird, that we would stop. So far it hasnt really changed anything. We are able to keep it at a friendship for now because we both knew we couldnt make a long distance relationship work. Thats why Im nervous about her moving back. She will be living about a mile from me instead of over 300.

No, she didnt move back for me. Shes moving back so she can get back in school since she cant afford it living on her own out in Dallas. Shes in the same boat as me as far as being just friends. Im just not sure we will react the same way now that we are living a mile apart instead of 300.

I dont know. I mean we talked about this a while back. We pretty much both said that we still cared about each other, but it more than likely wouldnt work out between us. We do awesome as just friends, but we are two very different people. Im just worried that if we do end up getting back together then we will end up breaking up and then Ill lose a really good friend.

If there are feelings there that both of you share, you may as well go for it. One way or another those feelings are going to break through and probably ruin the friendship.
