FEAR 2? SF4? Killzone 2? YES! Killzone actually might be good (I'm disregarding all the early reviews), I mean it does look amazing.
I can finally buy games for my ps3 (I would get fear for my pc but that thing can barely handle fear 1).

I have very little interest in any of those games. Two of them are on Xbox 360 and Killzone still doesn't validate anyone owning a PS3 for the games.
Yeah but you like to play WoW.
I got it for free, a 360 is definitely the way to go (I don't notice a difference on blu-ray even on a 1080p tv); but it does irk me that all the used-to-be PS exclusives (DMC, RE, FF, Teken, etc.) are now on xbox, and I never had the option of any of those titles when I had an xbox in 2001.
Street Fighter IV tomorrow.. going to rent it and try it out.. IGN gave it a 9.3
Also, Puzzle Quest: Galactrix.
If you played the first one, you know why you should be getting excited about this.
I'm fired up about Killzone 2. Early reviews are pretty positive. Any negatives they seem like they are things that can be patched. And I disagree, I think this is a game that will make it worth owning a PS3 in the distance a future. A price drop is bound to come soon and Killzone's online is sounding very promising. As long as the servers hold up, it should be great.
I hope Dead Rising: Chop till you Drop is a good port to the Wii. I need good games for my Wii to make it seem like a justified purchase.
I played a Fear 2 demo on the PS3 and hated the controls. Hopefully the full game will allow for customization of the controls because it seemed like a fun game.
Ninja edit - I find it hard to believe you don't notice the difference between Blu-Ray and standard DVDs on a nice TV. Watch the Dark Knight or Wall-E and try and say there's no difference.
Yeah the multiplayer does look promising, it's been awhile since a game has kept me hooked like that (Halo 1&2).
Q3 Arena was also addictive. God I can't wait to be a nerd again and just sit inside and play video games all day.
edit: I own the Dark Knight, and the imax shots were nice, but I honestly don't notice a difference between 1080i and 1080p; plus they're more expensive.
I'm more excited about this: http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/action/flower/index.html
The next game coming out that I am looking forward to with a confirmed release date is...
Phantasy Star Portable, followed by...
Resistance Retribution
Wow...not a lot of games coming up I'm looking forward to, lol
TBH I'm most excited about Puzzle Quest: Galactrix, though I'm hoping that all the new features don't fuck up the game. Everything else I could take or leave; it's not like we haven't already played a billion different FPSs in our lives already (I guess I'm just not a super huge fan of the genre, and it almost seems like every single new game is either a FPS or some variant of an RTS). SF4 looks interesting, but I don't know if it's going to be anything more than the old Street Fighter games with a face lift.
Now you know what puzzle game was the bomb?
Boom Blox
Fuck Killzone.
But Fear 2 sounds interesting.
Darkfall?
Still Alive, maybe.
SF4 is the only one I care about, and even that looks mediocre. I'm hoping it will at least be as good as HD Remix...
Little Big Planet, Siren and MGS4 do though imo. I bought my PS3 for BluRay first and foremost but will be replacing it with one of the upcoming Denon, H/K or Oppo boxes for proper bit streaming and a few other features the PS3 lacks.
Also, I refuse to buy another 360 after going through 3 in 3 years when I really only played one game on it.
You can't tell the difference between a 480p upconvert and native 1080p? Unless your TV is like 32" or you need glasses or something I find that hard to believe.

Yeah, that's what I got from it as well. My point about 480p was that it's the native DVD resolution... only it's being upscaled to 1080i/p.
Imo, BD is definitely worth it if you have a 42"+ TV. At this size the extra resolution really does shine over upscaled DVDs. Not to mention 24p, proper 5:5/3:3 pulldown and 7.1 audio.

F.E.A.R. 2 looks like it doesn't live up to the original, according to the majority of reviews.
Anyone waiting in line tonight?
...What's coming out that's worth waiting in line for?
SF4 is da shit.. you will love it.
I'm going to buy Halo Wars.
(awaits stones)
I don't follow the hype on any games. As far as RTS games go its very very simple, but that's so that the controls run smoothly on the console. I don't expect it to have a huge skill gap or to be a real competitive game because of the simplicity, but its still fun.
EDIT: That's just a general post fyi, don't think I value your opinion in the slightest Sion.

Don't forget that on Feb. 10th, Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad was released.
It also sucked balls from what I heard, and not in a good way. Hooray for boobies and that's about the extent of the game.
Now I just wish I had the money to drop on the games I've been wanting for a while now... Still gotta get Castle Crashers, want to get the Burnout Ultimate Box, etc.
SF4 is no ST, but it's pretty damn fun.
Games I am picking up today:
FEAR 2. Sonic Ultra Collection (40+ games, 30 bucks).
Tuesday: Puzzle Quest, Galactrix.
Next Friday: Killzone 2.
That should be about it until RE5.
