I've got a lot of stuff to learn with MyPaint but it looks like it's pretty easy to jump in and work.

A wacom. I'm left handed with a right handed mouse. I couldn't do much at all with the mouse. Plus the wacom is pressure sensitive and awesome.

I've always wanted a wacom tablet. Using only a mouse for digital artwork is pretty limiting but I've see some awesome art that was supposedly mouse-only.

You should get one. I like some of the stuff you've done and you could put it to good use. They make several models. Mine is the 4x5 intuos, and I think it was around 80 bucks when I got it. I think there was one cheaper, and smaller, model when I got mine and a few that were higher, and bigger. The only real art I'd been able to do with mouse would be pixel art. There are some amazing pixel artists.

    Default Vader

This was done in Gimp with Gimp Paint Studio and on a wacom tablet.

I printed a picture and taped it to my Wacom tablet then traced over the outlines and painted it. It was an exercise in using the paint tools so the tracing is okay for this one. The bic lighter in another painting was from scratch looking at the lighter on my desk. (Still life painting) And the spiderman drawing was from looking at a DVD cover and drawn by hand. And the chick in KT's thread about indiglo semester was done by hand looking at a random photo found on google.
