    Default It's about time!

    Finally...

So, anyone do anything new to their rides?

I snapped a bolt off inside the block of the Trans Am when I was tightening up a water pump bolt. So, now I'm saving up for a cam swap since I'll be ripping up the front of the car, anyway.

I picked up a 5 speed for the Iroc, and I am one piece shy of converting the body to the 91-92 "Aero" style. Once I find a mint nose cover it'll be going from blue to black primer for awhile.

My DD Grand Am is down at the moment, due to a brake pressure issue.

I filled up the tank in my Tahoe.

That's enough money spent on my ride this month.

My exhaust is falling off. I'm in desperate need of an oil change. My undercarriage is rusty. My right blinker jimmies itself loose all the time.

Why would you get rid of a Wrangler in exchange for the worst year model ever.

How much are you paying for that thing?

Did you find a mullet yet?

As far as my car goes, lets just say there is a Kenne Bell in the future. Turns out Im getting like $2300 a semester for financial aid, and tuition is only $500 a semester.

Cars are to get you from point A to point B.

If they look cool it is all well and good, but they are just a tool of function. There is really no point in wasting money on them if they are performing their function properly.

The same could be said about anything. Clothes, food, hell even sex.

and I would agree with that for clothes

but not sex and food, because sex has physiological benefits beyond the actual function of it, and certain foods are better for you than other kinds.

That's great. Unfortunately, cars are my hobby. It is what my paychecks are spent on and why I am in debt. My cars are tools, and the function is tearing up people on the street with their gayness.

What unsound financial strategy. It is possible to live a debt-free life you know. I can show you the way.

Oh so you're one of those douchebags who thinks "I have a great car, I am therefore better than everyone else ever!" while everyone else looks on and thinks "He is a douchebag, he is therefore more of a douchebag than everyone else ever."

No, we are car people, we dont really give a shit what kind of car everyone else has unless they are also a car person.

Evolution - I know it's possible, sadly I am a post graduate and will remain in debt for years to come. My debt is minimal, as it gets paid off and used many times throughout the year. And please, my financial strategies are none of your concern.

Simonj - You wouldn't understand if you were not a car guy. I don't care about other people and what they think about me. I will admit that I am not one of those kids who gathers at the gas station to show off my gay new underbodies on my Civic with all my fag friends.

The only time a real car guy gives a shit about you car is if it is faster, or if you think it is faster then his car.
Especially if you think your car is faster and you have a Civic with a body kit.

I've been known to do that... Definitely go for your permit ASAP. I have Virginia and Kentucky resident permits (gray area that is one of the benefits of wearing foliage green). I'll have a Louisiana permit by the first quarter of next year.

I haven't done much of anything to my vehicles. Washed the GMC a few days ago and then tore across a field a couple days later. I'll probably get rid of the Willys and Dodge.

    Haha handgun permit.

In LA you just have to be 21 and have a clean record. You can go pick one out, and walk out with it in 15 minutes.

    FM glad you made it!

I applied for the permit last week, so in another week or two it should be in the mail. They have to do a reference check, background check, and I had to show 2 forms of ID.

Thats ridiculous in LA. Ridiculously awesome!

I got the permit, but never got a chance to get the gun I want (Ruger P90). I did get two revolvers, though. One is a Taurus 357 Magnum which is pretty cool, and the other is a snub nose 357, S&W. Both of which are stainless.

Ive shot a Ruger P90 before, and I didnt really like it.

You should look for a Springfield XDm in 9mm.

    That bad boy holds 19+1.

    .45 > 9mm IMO

I like the fact of hitting someone in the ear lobe and knocking them down. The Springfield looks cool, but smaller than the P90. I need something I can hold in my large, bear paw-like hands. Not something that will feel like it's going to break!

Try the XD in .45. I don't have small hands and it fits them just right. 13 and one in the pipe. The sound alone will make the baddy drop.

EDIT: Might be hard to conceal but there are people that carry the one I have and the 1 inch longer model.

I agree on the .45 > 9mm, but some hydrashock 9mm will take down just about anyone.
