I figured I might as well make a thread for it.
I'm getting it. First thing I'm doing is beating the campaign with my friend via x-box live. Hopefully get ever COG tag. Then play some online and rape a nigga load of face.
Anyone else get as hard as I do for this game and/or getting it too?
I want to get it, but I'm afraid I'll have to wait until jesus' birthday
Gettin it tomorrow morning. Going to play the hell out of Horde mode.
I still haven't played the first one.
Should be getting it tomorrow. The mic that came with the 360 I bought doesn't work so I'll wait a while for online coop.

I take that back, I played a bit of my friend's copy and got bored after about 20 minutes. I'll have to see if I can pick up a copy for cheap though.

I played coop with my friend and we almost reached nexus. Then we played the horde mode. I thought this one is a lot better than the first one.
First one sucked bad, never finished it. So highly doubt I'll ever get this game, and if I do I'm not paying for it.
I was let down horribly by the first one, but I still love to pick it up and murder everything in sight.
I'll probably play this sooner or later.

it was hyped up to make it seem like as soon as you put it in your xbox, god himself got down on his knees and gave you a blowjob.
it sucked horribly, the cover system was clever, and the controls were average, and it looked great.
thats as much credit as it deserves, the gameplay was such utter and complete shit
i'l stick to crysis and FEAR and cod for my shooters, thanks.

Dying in 5 seconds while not in cover isn't what I consider fun.
Running and gunning using fully modifiable weaponry in the best graphics and physics ever made is.
Haven't bought it yet not too worried about it.

As for Gears of War, I never really got along with that. And I willingly accept the blow to my masculinity that comes with such a statement.
Its just a difference in opinion. I prefer to leave strategy in games to chess, i want action when i play fps.
I'll second that notion. I honestly did not think the game deserved all the praise and dick sucking it received. It was a decent game, but nothing incredibly special.

You're such a tool it's ridiculous. You probably suck at crysis too. Basically what you're saying is that you prefer just button mashing in street fighter to actually learning moves and combos. Both are fine, but you look like an idiot when someone comes in and whomps on you who actually knows what they are doing and you complain about the fact that you've got to actually use skill to compete.

It's not monumental or the messiah of games or anything, but it was an excellent game that combined a lot of strong elements into an overall fantastic experience. Certainly better than halo, and halo is the king of un deserved praise.
Halo 1 (the campaign in this game rocked my socks off) and 2 provided a multiplayer experience like no other for the console gamer
the fact that Bungie rushed Halo 1 is what made it so fantastic because its obvious that they suck as a deveoper when given enough time to make a game.

Gears looks like it will be alright. I won't pick it up though...I never really enjoyed the randomness. Its just going to be another dumbed down eye candy game like most other games now.

I got this a few weeks ago and TBH it's fuckin' boring. I haven't played it online though, I'm too busy playing L4D.
Overrated? I dont get what all the fuss is about, and I didn't like the first one.
