Converting .avi to .mp4
Does anyone have a good (preferably free) program that will do this? I've been working on some silly projects in Sony Vegas recently and have been wanting to use some avi's, but you can't do anything with them in vegas. I would also be happy if it was anything but avi...like a .mov or .midi or ... anything.
EDIT: I've been using YASA for videos under 5 minutes, but for longer clips, it's not as useful.
WinFF does a pretty good job.

Just use one of the utilities that are made for converting things into mp4 format for iPod and PSP. They're easy to find, and generally work well and fast.

This shit's great whenever I need to convert video files for use on my cell phone. Only con is that there's a 100 MB limit.
It still beats the hell out of having several converters on your computer. You don't even have to install anything.
I use the following programs and they all work great:
Xilisoft Video Converter Ultimate
Total Video Converter 3.11
Magic Video Converter
Not sure if any of them are free as (they are free to me.)
