    Default World's first biodegradable laptop

Not exactly WTF news, but still interesting...

Asustek Computer plans to debut a nature-friendly laptop PC with a casing made of bamboo on Saturday at Taiwan's IT Month exhibition.

The laptop, first announced last year, is part of Asus's efforts to use renewable materials in products. The shell of the laptop is made of real bamboo, which grows fast and is used widely throughout Asia in furniture, as well as construction scaffolding, food for pandas, and in artworks.

This is actually a pretty good idea in my opinion, since bamboo is not only biodegradable, but it also grows really quickly and thus is quickly renewable.

Yeah, Bamboo grows feet per day and can be introduced in many climates, very cool in my opinion.

We could make cars out of bamboo.

Last year when i lived in the dorms we would go behind my friends brother's house to hit the bong. He hd a fuckin mini bamboo forest in his backyard and it was crazy. It was like a 20 sq ft backyard half filled with like 10ft tall bamboo.

Big fucking deal- only parts of the case are wood, everything else inside isn't biodegradable

You probably can replace the wood for $50+ in the new scheme from hp for $
