What are some good ideas for a game you've always wanted to see?
I'm sick of games where aliens invade earth, i want a game where earth invades an alien planet. Or where you play as aliens invading earth and just run around fucking shit up.(not destroy all humans)

I like mp's game idea:

It's a sandbox game like GTA3/4 but you start as a low-level creep doing jobs for low-level villians and eventually work your way up to work for Kingpin or Raz al Ghul and ultimately replace them and go after the associated hero. You have to lay low in order to avoid gaining attention from the hero (Batman, Superman, Spiderman, X-men, whatever franchise) similar to GTA4.

As you go through the game, you can recruit more thugs to do your work (petty crime distracts the hero so you can do what you need, etc.)

I like Atmosfear's idea. I was hoping a game similar like that but like in a pirate era. It has been tried many times but all failed. I would say Pirates of the Caribbean (not related to the movies) was the best attempt at it but it was just so glitchy.

You try not to get caught....

Then, after analyzing the patterns of the city's traffic/foot traffic, behaviors, population density, etc....you plant your bomb wear the most people will be affected.

I'd like to see a more sophisticated version of Pandemic II, with an actual, interactive gameworld. You work as a scientist in a lab to develop a sleek, quiet disease that can wipe out humanity (or, I suppose, a specific country - maybe you work in a government or terrorist lab). Watching a virus/bacteria/prion evolve and triumph would be freaking awesome.

I wanna see a game in an open sandbox world like GTA where you are a full time cop. Where you drive or walk around, stopping crime if you see it, say you see a man steal a womans purse as your driving down the road. Or respond the calls on your radio. Anything from a home invasion to a bank robbery.

You get there first, do you call for backup and wait? Or do you go in? The hostage might die if you wait, but you might die if you go in. Maybe have a "career" mode version where you try to follow the book and move up in the ranks with the ultimate goal of a certain rank. And then having a free mode where you can turn rules on and off. For example pulling a woman over for speeding and then pulling her out of her car and beating her to death would probably be the end of your career if you get caught, but in free mode you can turn such rules off.

I think it would be kind of fun.

There was an idea posted on /v/ sort of similar to this but instead of being a scientist building pandemic, you were a self-aware nanobot that escaped from a factory and over the course of the game would be able to take over factories and build and direct armies of other nanos. You would start out infiltrating factories and eventually build new and improved robots for your side and take over the world.

Plus, I'm sure Tipper Gore would eat her own head if anyone said they were releasing a game with realistic information about how to wipe out humanity with a bioweapon. :/

Thats pretty cool. Not enough games let you play as the direct villain. Some let you choose and stuff like that. I guess there was that Star Wars game but I never got around to playing it.
