    Default I made a holster!

    woo hoo!

I had nothing to do now that finals are done with, so I got to making a holster for my mom's PT145 with all the extra leather I had laying around.
    It was pretty simple.

I went for pure functionality on this one, without worrying about aesthetics too much, and it came out well for my first time, I think.

I read http://www.jdlawhon.com/beltslide about 2 times, then got started.

I'll add pictures in a minute

I found a holster to use with my Kel Tec P11 once I get my CCW, but the thing is like $80.

Definatly not bad considering your situation. If you weren't using scrap leather and going for simplicity I think a change of color would looked nicer.

Looks really cool for your first one. It's a tad bit sloppy and could use some dye. Imagine what your second one will look like. By your fifth you should be ready to take orders heh.

Yeah, I was just flying by the seat of my pants, and didn't really know how it would turn out until I finished, hahah.

Next time I'll know what to expect, and hopefully get some decent horsehide.

It works freaking great, though; I went jogging with it, and it stayed stuck to me like it was glued on.

How did you get it molded around the trigger guard like that?

You boil the leather for a while, and using a hard something (I used the back of a sharpie) you mold it in as much as you can.

You can't see it, but the all of the controls, and the ejection port got molded in, too.

Then you dunk it in cold water
