Default I bought one of those fancy BlackHawk Serpa holsters for my 1911

I was at Academy, looking for workout shorts the other day, when I was doing my usual gun stuff aisle walk through(just a habit I have) and I suddenly noticed a neat looking holster with a box that said, "FOR 1911s AND STUFF LOL"

Well, since I'd recently bought a SIG SAUER double mag holster that looked alot like it, I seriously thought about getting it, but I ended up leaving it there.
The thing was, I kept remembering how cool that holster was, and how I didn't like getting my custom leather holster all sweaty when I went running.

I then discovered how comfy my new paddle mag holder was, and I decided to go back and get the holster.

It turns out that these paddle holster things are really freaking comfortable.
I can jog with my 5" 1911 for about 2 hours and not even feel uncomfortable.

I was a little worried about the retention device, but the little button is really instinctive and easy to pick up on, so I felt better about it.
Certainly, the draw isn't as smooth as it is from my HBE holster, which is great, but it's good.

So I am certainly a happy camper; I have an awesome new exercise holster!

    pics when I have time.

Same one I just mentioned in another post...

Great value for the price, and the push button Sherpa system is a great alternative to other single retention devices.

Yeah, it took me a while to get used to the button, as opposed to the buttery but firm draw from my leather.

I just took it back to the motel and did my best Taxi Driver impression. Well, not quite, but I did practice drawing from concealment in the mirror.
