Firefox Plug ins that are essential:

Hyperwords - This one is amazazing. You highlight a word or phrase and can google it or define it look up it's price per share if it's a broken link go to that page in new tab example expedia.com instead of www.expedia.com you can blog it twitter it. A lot of cool things.

AdBlock Plus - Block ads. I"m still on a 56k and I have way better things to do than download a bunch of ads for crap I'm not going to buy.

DownThemAll - This is a must have.

I was going to reinstall this weekend but instead decided to delete 25GB worth of games I don't play much anymore, defrag and look into each running process to remove stuff I don't need. Seems to have helped a lot!

That's the first time I heard someone say they like MS Office 08. I always thought the latest OpenOffice was more office-like then Office 08.

I like it, but then I only use Outlook and Visio, and Word on rare occasion. Outlook 08 is actually quite nice; I wouldn't want to use email any other way. Most people I know tend to like 08 after they get beyond the "omg wtf ribbon" phase though.

It's been a very long time since I've reformated but if I had to do it now I think the list of essential apps I'd install minus games would have to be as followed

    Firefox
    NoScript
    uTorrent
    AVG 8.0
    Office 03
    The essential updates and drivers
    AIM
    Zune software
    Packet tracer 5.0
