Why cant you carry that in TX.

Seems like you could carry a 4 foot folder in Texas.

    it's an automatic.

Yeah, our laws allow for 5.5" blades.

Good luck finding a cop who won't hassle you and tell you you can't carry a knife longer than "palm of your hand/driver's license/etc..."

That's awesome! I love my benchmade.

Cops are stupid. I think those that enforce the law should know it.

What I think is even more ridiculous, is that I can walk around with a .45acp pistol in my waistband, and it's legal.

but if I slip a little knife with a spring in its lock into my pocket, it's illegal.

Automatic knives are neat and all, but I'm not sure that I like them, because no matter how much care you treat them with, their springs will degrade over time. IMO, a knife should be the simplest and most reliable tool of any uber1337 tacticool operator.

I've had my 9050 for almost five years now. Great knife, I carried it quite a bit before getting a M16-14ZSF for a beater. Sitting in my truck as I type this.

Yeah, I think I will only carry this knife while I'm in Russia.

Switchblades in TX are still a no no.

I heard rumors that there's a grassroots movement stirring and shaking to make our CHLs more like Florida's, in that prohibited knives will be added to the license.

That would be nice. I carry my Benchmade occasionally because I can, since I am technically on duty 24/7. Haven't seriously looked at any other autos though. With modern pocket folders, a flick of the wrist gives you a knife every bit as quick and convenient as an automatic.
