    Default Remember the Titans

I watched this film last night, and I just thought EA would like to know.

I don't like sports, but this is definately the best sports film I've seen, possibly ever.
It was one of the best films I've seen in a long while, I'm not sure if it was the alcohol or just seeing people come together, overcoming the racism that was around back then.
Denzel Washington plays an excellent role as always.

I can't stand racism, it is my most hated thing, and a touchy subject for me. So seeing people overcome it and work together and realise that its stupid to judge someone without gettin to know people first...

Well, I won't lie, it brought me to tears more than once in the film, which I struggled to hide from my fellow housemates.

Awesome film, worth watching, would watch again.

    Go watch it.

edit: I remember my housemates weren't that impressed, said it was a bit cheesy. Its possible this was not a great film but it just really touched me due to the anti-racism the film was based around.

I agree with you full-heartedly...minus the whole not liking sports thing.

If I'm not mistaken, this was based on a true story? Cheesy? I think not.

Yeah, from what I could tell it is based on a true story.
At the end it had the whole "So and so continued trainin the team for 4 years then retired in..." stuff for most the characters.

I didn't notice the cheesyness until my housemates mentioned it for the 3rd or so time, at which point I came out of my 'wow this film is amazing' haze and noticed that the current scene was a little cheesy, so bits of the film may also be.

But, even if it is, in places, I didn't notice it. Just the right amount of cheese.

"In Virginia, high school football is a way of life. It's bigger than Christmas day." Yes I knew that from the top of my head.

Rocky 1-6, other than that, you're correct. Remember the Titans is a classic film.

It is a good film, I remember years ago not being able to sleep and watched it by accident. Really enjoyed it. Denzel Washington is one of the best actors of his generation. I still prefer him as a bad guy though, when he is good he is good, but when he is bad he is electrifying.

My high school history/politics/economics teacher played this movie at least 4 times a year every year for all of his classes as one of his lessons. I still cant ever get enough of this movie, by far one of my favorite football/sports movies, somewhere close to the replacements.

I have seen this movie about 16 times in high school.

Friday Night Lights is my favorite sports movie.

Yes it is based off of T.C. Williams High School in Alexandria, Virginia. The story comes from their 1971 football season where they overcame their racial segregation and went on to go undefeated and become a local high school football powerhouse.

Fun fact: My aunt went to this school in 1971.

The Program was the best sports movie, especially because it is about God's game.

"My Daddy coached in Alexandria, he needed me on that field. Up until 1971 in Alexandria there was no race-mixing. Then, the school board forced us to integrate, they combined the white school and the black school into one, called T.C. Williams High School. (Cue "Remember the Titans" on screen)
