Default Having trouble burning a DVD...

Okay, So I got a copy of Hancock and Wall-E from a friend the other day (call me pirate all you want...), and I tried using ConvertXtoDVD for the first time, as Nero is to convoluted in trying to find where each particular option is. So it goes through the encode just fine, and then when I try to burn, I get this when fails:

    Write error at 16 (16) - Code 00 00 00 [No sense information.]

Funnily enough, when I had Nero installed, it managed to detect everything and burn the stuff ConvertX opted not to. (I encoded a DVD file system, ConvertX failed it, and Nero burned it fine). So here I am, already having searched Google to no avail, and already tried burning at 4x and 2x speeds. Always the same failure. I have a Lite-on LH-20A1L burner, and as mentioned, I can burn fine with Nero, but overall (minus the failing part), ConvertX seems a hell of a lot faster. Oh, and I have the latest firmware for my burner, if that matters all that much.

    Any help guys?

What format is your copy of hancock/wall-e in? Its an .avi correct?
I have ConvertXtoDVD as well and all I have to do is add the avi to the new project and click on "convert" and it shrinks the avi to fit on the dvd and burns it.
Check to make sure your settings in ConvertX are all correct (NTSC, Full D1, etc).

DVDShrink 3.2 for the win. Easiest program I have found to copy DVDs.

@ Ebola: Wall-E is an mp4, and Hancock, I believe was an .avi, however, I have deleted the original file. Here's the deal, everything encodes perfectly through ConvertX, but then as soon as it's ready to burn, it fails, taking the disc along with it. I get an error that I have had little luck on resolving, as Google doesn't give much help, and any links I do find are pretty much dead ends. The error reads:

    Write error at 16 (16) - Code 00 00 00 [No sense information.]

As if the program can't tell me if the media is the right type or something. However, as I sorta mentioned above, I can take the Audio_TS and Video _TS folders created be ConvertX, and burn them just fine in Nero 8 (which I ended up reinstalling).

@ farva: I'm not exactly copying DVDs here, but converting .avi and .mpg files to DVD. Thanks for the program heads up though.

Ninja Edit: just realized I already posted the error code. D'oh.

Very nice Ephekt. Definitely downloading. Hopefully it stays true to its cause. Will report back.
