Default Someone actually falls for a Nigerian scam

A Leamington man has fallen prey to international scam artists who strung him along for more than a year with the promise of millions in cash, but ultimately bilked him and his family of $150,000.

Do people running these scams ever get caught? Are there enough idiots out there that the scammers actually make millions?

Wow, stupid man, but I still feel bad for him.
    His life is fucked.
Wouldn't be surprised if there's a news feed on him killing himself.
    Terrible stuff.

I agree, whilst it is fucking dumb, part of me cannot help but feel sorry for people who get done like that. Sure, to get stung you need to be a bit dim, that doesnt change the fact that scamming people is wrong and that they are victims, not just of their own stupidity but of other people. I'd prefer to give them sympathy and maybe education as opposed to scorn.
