    Default how to use proxies

Hey, I want to start using proxies when I browse the internets. I searched on google and found a lot of different things, but I thought I would just ask you smart people before trying randomly on my own and fucking up my computer. A program that works well and requires little effort is optimal. I have OSX and use Firefox.

    Thanks.

Using a proxy won't break your computer; it's simply a setting you enable in your browser, or a website.

That said, unless the proxy is yours you have no way to verify that it's truly anonymous, or that they don't keep logs, so I'd caution against using anything you find on Google for illegal activities.

I know what a proxy is, and I would rather not use a website one like proxify. I was thinking more of a program that has a list of anonymous proxies that it randomly chooses from and basically does it for you. I know how to enter one proxy into firefox, but that requires looking up proxies and finding one that works, and then it only works in firefox. If there is anything like I just described for OSX that would be awesome.

There's a program for Firefox called TOR. Look into it.
