Default Best ways to gain weight?

I'm just curious, what do you think is the best way to gain weight? I have a high metabolism, so everything I consume goes through me (with the exception of some of it going to my ass and legs 90% of the time), and I eat a high protein, mid carb, and low fat diet, and I'm lucky if I gain 1 pound every two weeks to three weeks.

Well, you work out right? I assume you mean adding muscle and not fat, so I would advise using creatine. If you're looking to bulk up, it'll help you do it faster.

    Dat dere CellTech.

Seriously though, just eat more. Try to up your carb intake a little bit by eating more whole grain breads and pastas. Carbs are pretty important in protein synthesis. I've got almost the exact same problem with the fast metabolism and legs that catch all of the fat. Aside from that, try eating more red meat and fats. That should help to raise test levels a bit and promote muscle growth.

I'm in a similar situation. In fact I have creatine in my cupboard but I haven't been to my gym in over a year. I eat a lot but I am curious on how I should dose creatine and how frequently.

Well, back when I was lifting regularly, I would take creatine after every workout. It combats the fatigue of working out and it helps you build muscle faster. It's important not to overdose yourself on it though, and don't forget to drink plenty of water with it. People have died from taking creatine right before a strenuous workout and then forgetting to hydrate.

I've seen creatine vitamins, and I've seen powders. I already use a high protein mix, and I drink it with 2% milk, but I'm at a loss. Are the capsule forms of creatine just as good as the powder mix?

What I've always heard was that the creatine liquid is the best. Thats what I use, but I think the powder is almost as good. The capsules though, I have no idea.

Edit: I bought liquid creatine at a GNC. It's not cheap though, a little more expensive than the powder.

The thing about the capsules is that you generally have to eat over 9000 of them. I guess they do the same job, but the powder is just so much easier to consume.

Well you can get it flavored. My advice is to not take those two together though. Holy shit at alliteration there. Anyway, when I did that it was puke city, but you might be able to handle it better than I did.

I don't know, after a discussion with somebody regarding the whole situation, he told me I need to have a more solid routine/nutrition program in place before I even try creatine.

I agree, you need to be consistent with your routine, diet and rest to make any noticeable gains. Just eat a lot, lift hard and try and get 8+ hours of sleep every night.

I think it's probably best to wait a few months before taking creatine. When I lifted before, I just had the pure Creatine Monohydrate powder and mixed it in with my PWO protein shake. I probably won't be using it for a while though now.

Yeah I have pure monohydrate powder and just eat foods heavy in protein.

There is speculation that loading isn't required, but I do anyway just because it seems like its what everyone does (in their respective weight classes).
