New gun....

I got my tax return friday, and called my friend selling his RPK to see if he still wanted to sell it. He did not answer, so being the impatient shit I am, I just went to the gun store. I was looking for a polymer framed pistol in .45 ACP with a tan frame. I was looking at Glocks, S&W M&Ps, and Springfield XDs. The I saw it.

A Springfield XD 45 tactical model (5 in barrel with a tan frame and all the stuff an XD comes with. 3 mags, holster, dual mag holster, speed loader, gun lock, cleaning brush, and carrying case. And the price was very right. $530.

It cost me about $600 with tax and a box of bullets. I havent got to really shoot it yet, I did go to my dads pond and blast off a few rounds though, but didnt get to test the accuracy. This thing is LOUD.

Pics comming tomorrow or late tonight. But this is the same kind if gun I have.

Theres an XD .45 at the mil surplus place with an OD frame down the road... This only makes me want it more.

Congrats on the new XD. The guys at my local club swear by them. I might have to give one a try one of these days.

It says Flat Dark Earth, but it does look more like coyote.

I have heard nothing but good things about them. I went to the indoor range today, and shot a box of ammo.

I can draw and get a headshot on a target 20 yards away in about 2 seconds. Pretty good if you ask me. And it takes about a second to get the follow up shot in the head. With the recoil this thing has, its easy as hell to do a Mozambique drill.

And I still dont have any pics. My batteries are dead in my camera. And I cant find any. I found an unopened pack of rechargeable, but they arent fucking charged. Who the fuck sells uncharged AA batteries.
