Default Favorite rock bands that completely lack an electric guitarist

They're such a rare sight these days; let's list our favorites. My choices would have to be Om and Death From Above 1979.

I'll be honest with you... I can't think of one that you haven't mentioned, except instances where a band that would usually have a lead electric are using something else instead. Like a, uh, banjo or something. Or where the guitar is only playing rhythm (Klaxons do that a lot).

Death from Above are fucking great though it's true.

All I can think of is Keane and I would be quite happy if they fell off the planet.

Le Tigre are pretty good, I think they just use synths.

    Can't think of any more.

Genesis did have an electric guitarist but it was the synth that played most of the lead stuff.

    That should count.

I was thinking of the Dresden Dolls but I'm not sure I'd classify them as 'rock'.

I mean I know tags are usually shite but this is how they're tagged on last.fm: punk cabaret, alternative, female vocalists, cabaret, indie, rock (from most popular to least popular)

Definitely man, check out Om. They're not at all electronic; they're a stoner rock band that formed from the ashes of Sleep.
