Optima Batteries?

Anyone recommend these? I am debating replacing the battery in my truck in the near future. My factory battery is not getting any newer and the headlights dim when I raise the windows. The truck is loaded with electrical goodies and it may be the alternator output as much as anything else, but I will be looking for a better battery regardless.

I do little to no offroading, drive like an eighty year old man with occasional bursts of teenage foolishness and have made no electrical modifications to the truck besides Ultra Silverstar headlights. Are Optima batteries worth the extra cash, or should I just go for a conventional battery? Which brand of conventional do you use?

I use Interstate brand batteries, I've heard fantastic things about them and it has caused me no problems in the several years I've had it in my car. I will definitely get another Interstate brand one next time I need a car battery.

I have an Optima Red Top and I love it. Ive left my headlights on for about 6 hours and came back to my car and it started.

I left my parking lights on in my Iroc at my old job. They were on for 9 hours, on a normal Deka (local plant) battery and the car started right up at 5pm.

I've heard great things about Optima Red Tops, but I wouldn't buy one unless the car is truly a high performance machine. I'd like to buy one for my T/A, but the price tag pushes me away.

I got one because I had been wanting one, my battery was shot and I needed a new one right away, and they had them in stock for about the same price as Summit.

How's it working for you so far? Is it worth the extra fifty or so dollars?
