    Default Choke

Who's seen it? Who's read it?

I saw it today on a date and I was pleasantly surprised. I actually thought it was better than the book (which I was rather indifferent towards.) I wouldn't have bothered with it, except that it won an award at Sundance.

    What are your thoughts?

I can't see it because Utah is a horrible place to live, but I loved the book. Aside from Rant, my favorite book by chuck palahniuk. It's dirty, disgusting, horrible and sad...with a heart warming ending that involves anal beads. What's not to like?!

I read it, and judging by the previews, the movie strikes me as more of a romantic comedy than the source material. I still want to see it though.

I've read it, and luckily my college town theater has it.

I'll be seeing it this week.

I thought Choke was the least of Palahniuk's thought provoking books (although the conspiracy theory parts did strike my fancy). I didn't generally enjoy it compared to Rant or Survivor.

Many people cite Choke as one of his best works, and I just don't see it.

I was going to see it this weekend, but it seems critics did not receive it well. I'll watch it, but I don't have high hopes.

Oh I forgot about that. I never planned on that being a good one so I never gave it a chance. I haven't heard a good thing about it.

Yeah snuff was a big let down. I had it pegged in the first ten pages. Unfortunately not everything can be gold.

It was a nice attempt on his part, but it didn't meet the standards I have for his fiction work.
