Default How to rust proof the bottom of your car...

I found this little gem on the Mustang forum I frequent.

    http://forums.stangnet.com/621198-lo...tproofing.html

I think you have to register to see the pic, so here it is.

    Nice.

I understand his thought process, but damn, that looks like a mess.

Imagine what he will look like next time he has to go under the car to do some work.

At least he didn't use fifth wheel grease. My Great Dane jacket has been wearing some for over twelve years now.

So THATS where all the oil and grease on the roads and parking lots come from.

Of course he coulda used rhino lining. People do it on jeeps all the time. Unless he has some massive freaking rain storms and is driving in water knee deep for a week I doubt it will wash off as easy as he thinks it will too.

About the only thing funnier woulda been the silver never seize stuff. One drop of that shit can ruin like 10 shirts. Its like the herpes of mechanical fluids once you get it on you be prepared to live with it forever.

I have a problem with all my works shirts and squeeze tubes of silicone. You can scrub a hole through the shirt before that stuff comes off.

Spray-on insulating foam is great for clothes as well. My very first job at Great Dane was to help my brother rebuild a reefer trailer (as in refrigerated, not marijuana) . This was before I got uniforms so the nice Dickies shirt I wore that week still has spots of foam on it.
