Said Wolverine for the sake of Wolverine. It really depends upon what genre you feel like playing now. Lite-RPG or full blown action? Sacred II I've heard is a lot like Diablo, just prettier and themed a bit differently, and Wolverine is one of those games that while not a movie game, ties in nicely if you've watched it. Played the demo of it and it is fun as hell. Maybe I've been tamed by RPGs, but I can't play many of them anymore. Oblivion and Fallout I've come to love too much, and nothing else delivers the openendedness like they have. Guess it doesn't help that I'm a poor fuck too. No money, no games :P But then that's what PC games are for.

I was leaning towards Wolverine, after playing the demo, but something multiplayer wouldn't hurt, as I like to game with my lady friend.

Whatever I don't get this paycheck, I'll get the next one. I would get both, but I need a plane ticket to Nashville.

I'd say Sacred 2 judging from what linkin said.
I haven't read anything about either games, but games made from films are usually god awful (sometimes fun for a few days). Diablo is pretty good fun.

I said Wolverine because I had a blast playing the demo. There's something brutally satisfying about diving through the air impaling somebody in the chest or slamming them into a giant spike in the ground. However I could see it becoming repetitive or a game that really isn't worth the value. I'm also not one for RPGs either.

The RPG elements in are good, too.

I kind of want something single-player, because our friends are coming home from college and we're going to spend some more time apart. A nice single-player game couldn't hurt, but also, something to play togedder would be good as well. Purchase will be made at 4:30.

From what I've read, Wolverine is pretty repetitive. Sacred 2 isn't going to be getting any nominations for the greatest release of 2009, but at least it is a solid action RPG entry with a huge world.

Between these two games, I would definitely go for Sacred 2.

Sacred is a very fun game.

Has there every, in recent years, been a decent X-men game?

I hear nothing but good things and God of War comparisons to Wolverine, though. Buggy, but fun.

But I do hear good things about Sacred 2.

    DECISIONS!

    ...

if I didn't have to get a plane ticket, this'd be so much easier.

Look, you want both games. Get the one you want now that you can play now. If you have the time to immerse yourself in the world of Sacred 2, then get it now, otherwise play the 10+ hour Wolverine. Lotta factors, y'know?

Having played both, Sacred 2 will keep you busy longer, but Wolverine is more fun and less buggy.

The buggy thing was meant to encompass mediocrity, but bloody fun. And it is. I'll pick up Sacred later.

Wolverine is by no means a crappy movie game. It just probably isn't worth a full-price purchase given its lack of replay value.

    Rent it.

    Neither.

Get gamefly and get both for the price of the game cases.

I'm a game collector. The thought of renting games is absurd to me.

I either bought or got as a part of a game package Sacred Gold off Steam a while ago, and while I found it fairly fun, combat is also quite buggy. I tried two ranged characters (the Battle Mage and the Wood Elf), both of which can't just spam one single ability and survive combat. The idea of starting out with 2 ability slots at low levels and getting more as you level is inane and makes for frustrating and annoying combat.
