Always hated the show, and the movie looks even worse than the series.
I'd watch it if I didn't have to pay for it.
Granted I never gave the show a chance, but I was never into cartoons. Isn't piccolo supposed to be green?

On a much more interesting note, Akira Toriyama has made a new OAV that takes place after DBZ (since Dragonball GT was terrible and doesn't count) that is premiering in Japan soon. I am much more excited about that. First new Dragonball material from the original creator in 12 years, or something like that.

I don't this movie will do the show justice. How can they possibly fit four hours of powering up a super move that is suppose to defeat the enemy but doesn't and then they all evolve ten times and have hours of dialogues that is suppose to take place in ten minutes and Kami has to have nosebleeds everytime he pops boners?

There's a reason why the DragonBall series moved more fluidly than DragonBall Z.
The manga for DragonBall had finished before they went into production with the TV series. Or, it had gotten fairly close to finishing.
When DragonBall Z aired, they were airing the television show at the same time as the manga, and story-wise, they weren't allowed to go ahead past what had been released thus far on print. So there was a lot of filler while they waited for the next issues to come out, so they could have some real progression of story.

I would consider giving this a watch if they had better casting.

also, it's going to be a financial success no matter what they bother to put in the movie, so why should they particularly concern themselves with making have anything resembling quality?
