    Default Favorite Tarantino Directed Flick?

This thread is to talk about your favorite Tarantino flicks and why. If you don't like tarantino, why did you click on this thread to begin with?

Mine is definitely Pulp Fiction. The story for this picture stands out much more than his other films, and I can't deny that the actors in this film are fucking fantastic.

    Everyone else's favs?

It would be out of Death Proof, Planet Terror (Or Horror, I can t remeber), Reservoir Dogs, and Pulp Fiction.

I've not seen Kill Bill nor Death Proof, however from seeing excerpts from Kill Bill it doesn't seem remotely as good as Pulp Fiction.

Dogs I found to be good, but it just got a little samey after a while, they showed what they could have showed in 40 minutes.
Jackie Brown was ok, but just didn't really draw me in.

Pulp Fiction is no doubt the best, every single line in that film is memorable, and every scene is just brilliant.

Kill Bill is actually quite good, its a different kind of movie from his others.

Having said that its still no Pulp Fiction.

I don't think anything really matches Pulp Fiction.

I haven't seen Jackie Brown, though, and I hear Inglorious Bastards is shaping up to be quite nice.

You're not really missing anything miraculous with Jackie Brown.

Unless you're a diehard tarantinian you can skip it.

It can't be anything other than Pulp Fiction. It's that rare gem that is a film that's both entertaining enough to watch at any time in any mood as well as being a cinematic masterpiece.
Reservoir Dogs is only a close second though. I could take or leave the rest really (though I think Kill Bill should be two different votes).

Ahh... I guess I have another director to watch now.

What are some of his other movies that are good?

Sin City is pretty good (Tarantino even directed the first 15 minutes or so).

Like Simonj said Sin City is one of hist best.

His Mexico Trilogy is quite good too (EL Mariachi, Desperado, Once Upon a Time in Mexico), as is: From Dusk til Dawn.

Alas he did spend about four years making those terrible Spy Kids/Sharkboy and Lava Girl Movies.

    Oh right, didn't know that.

But yeah, From Dusk Till Dawn is amazing. Basically two movies rolled into one but done perfectly.

I loved both parts of Kill Bill. I can watch it over and over again.

Pulp Fiction is really good too but I just like Kill Bill a tiny bit more.

I like Kill Bill. I do enjoy his other movies because you can pick out so many corny quotes, but I like Kill Bill better because I'm a enthusiastic fan about some of the movies that influenced the overall film. I was really excited to see Sonny Chiba.

I didn't like Kill Bill, always found Pulp Fiction overrated as well. Not to say it isn't a good film just that i preferred Reservoir Dogs.

How has no one mentioned Four Rooms? I didn't think it was some obscure Tarantino flick. Weird.

Pulp Fiction is my favorite to watch, but I personally think Four Rooms was more interesting from a wanky/nerdy artistic perspective.

True. But "The Man From Hollywood" is the best part.

Dammit. I chose Death Proof not realizing that was the shittier part of Grindhouse. No offense to Tarantino, but Planet Terror had much more action and wasn't as slow paced as Death Proof. I hereby change my vote to Kill Bill, as that is the only other movie I have seen on the list.

I really liked Kill Bill because, what can I say, I am an anime and kung-fu nerd and this was borderline for both of those interests. Death Proof was kind of a let down for me, because I felt it was really slow and lacked the blood to make up for it. Still, everyone I know says Pulp Fiction is a masterpiece and that it's Tarantino's best.
