Lucas Arts and BioWare to unveil new game on Oct 21st

On October 21, at around 2PM Pacific, BioWare and LucasArts will finally reveal whatever the heck they've been working on, as evidenced by Massively's invitation to the event. More than a few signs point the way to the project being an MMO based on Knights of the Old Republic. Massively speculates that the title of the game could be Star Wars: The Old Republic.
Don't they know that the most successful MMORPGs have easily translatable acronyms? "EQ." "UO." "Wow."

Played it for a while. Glad I left, but I enjoyed everyone I played with.
Its not really old news, up until that announcement it was nothing but rumors, at least now its official and we can expect something.
Its a shame that this will be overshadowed by the release of Far Cry 2, which comes out on Oct 24th.
Fable 2 and Littlebigplanet both come out the 21st. In fact ebgames list far cry 2 as the same date.

Not to mention Dead space and Fallout 3 also come out this month. Then next month theres resistance 2, gears of war 2, call of duty 5. But all those arent must buys for me right now since ill be good for a while.

Yeah, this is one of the major announcements I've been waiting for. Hopefully it does do something to the WoW dominance of the MMOs because it really isn't as good as everyone makes it seem. Plus, it should be hella better than SWG.
Yeah, Call of Duty World at War, and its back in WW2 and its done by Treyarch who did CoD2 not Infinity Ward who did 4

I played SWG for years, until Sony fucked it up.
