PS3 Slim official

Sony announced at Gamecom that there will be a PS3 slim coming this fall at a price of $299.99 USD. Price affects all current 80gb PS3s as well. Same features as current models except the HDD has been bumped up to 120gb. This puts Sony's console at the same price of the now $300 XBox 360 Elite.

This is going to help Sony big time. Too bad I already have a PS3.

I don't have any of the current generation consoles, so I guess this will be my way of getting my feet wet. Can't wait till it comes out.

I bought one last week and I'm impressed. Just pissed that I've spent all this money on DVDs and now that I've seen blu-ray I'm going to want to upgrade everything.

Oh and my wii is now officially regulated to Nintendo exclusives (basically mario), fuck horrible visuals and sound (and internet play for that matter) for a gimmicky new control scheme, even if it is fun at times.

I've owned an upscaling DVD player (with HDMI out) for a few years now and it really doesn't compare to Blu-Ray. You just can't take 480 scan lines and derive the extra 600 for 1080i.
