I really digged it, especially the layered vocals, but I didn't care for the organic-sounding electronic samples in the 2nd half of the song... didn't really fit the feel of the track, IMO. If you just got rid of that sample completely and added in another verse towards the end the track would be golden.

Thanks for the comments Mr. Scarf. The synths in the end were just kind of thrown in because I lost focus. I plan on playing around with it more, adding more vocals and what not at some point. We'll see how it goes, depends on how school treats me.

ill listen to it tomorrow, but here's a tip i've learned while producing music as a hobby: try to refrain from posting your song until you're at a point where you have nothing left to do/add/change. too often i'd post my work in rough draft form and have feedback going in the complete opposite direction than what i intended the finalized version to be and i found it quite annoying but 100% my fault for posting something before it's finished

edit: big butts everywhere in ya face in ya ears in ya house

since this thread is so high up I don't want to post another one, so here is another little track I made earlier:

i liked the lazy, dreamy aspect of it, and the little solo at the end was fun

i was iffy about the vocals at first, but the melody is way too good to drop for this song. it's not in a genre that i particularly listen to, but i like it

haha if you couldn't understand what I was saying here you go:

    Can you understand?
Did you know what you’d planned?
Are these vocals out of hand?
    Can my voice comprehend?

I'm trying to play around with higher pitches, I still go out of key quite a bit, but I'm working on it. I'm curious, though: what genre would you put this in? I've always had a hard time pinning it down.

    Thanks for the nice comments.

i don't know exactly, but i'm terrible at genrelizing music

the melody fits, you just need to work on the control a bit more but that'll come with practice.

i would alter the lyrics to have something a little more meaningful to them, but again i'm a weird one. the foundations and execution are really good (i love the bassline) it's more a matter of polishing it than anything else at this point

No I agree with having meaningful lyrics. I usually try a little bit harder but I was feeling particularly lazy and uncreative when it came to this. Maybe when I get some time I'll put some more effort in to it, or I'll just wait for some bursts of creativity.

    Thanks again.
