Netbooks?
I'm looking into getting a netbook. I just need something I can take with me to class and carry around all day with giving myself a compressed vertebrae, be able to get on the schools wifi with no problem, and type up some papers here and there. Anyone got any recomendations? experiences?
So carrying around a laptop that weighs 7-10lbs will give you a compressed vertebrae?

You want something with Windows 7. Most are wifi enabled, if not all. Hard drive size is up to you. I would get something with 2GB of RAM, but 1GB should suffice. Also you will need to worry about the cost of an MS Office license if you don't have one already.
Personally, you are already in the $400+ price range, I would look into a real laptop with more features and horsepower. You don't need a 17" screen, a 13 or so would suffice.
Not to mention they probably lack an optical drive.

My wife has a HP netbook. Can't remember which model. Only problem I have is the keyboard is too small for me to type on with my man hands.
currently using an Acer AspireOne... and I fucking hate it.
