    Default Hunting in VT

I recenlty returned from a Hunting trip to Vermont, Though I did not get anything I had a great time in the Green Mountains.

Amazing, no deer to be seen but there are a few old Rolls-Royce parts laying around.

A shot from the front porch of the house were we stayed.

Yours truly coming in from the hunt empty handed.

Hey, where in Vermont did you hunt? I hunt in Windsor County around the Cavendish/Ludlow area. Im not surprised you came back empty handed, theres no deer here anymore. Im finishing off the last week of Muzzleloader right now, then its back to my apt and one more semester of college.

I like Smith. He's a cool guy but even if he wasn't he'd still be there to make me not be the only old fart on here. Well some of you youngins would think 36 is old fart.

That sucks, sycld is right about Maryland, Virgina is as bad if not worse. My neighbor could help cull the population on the east coast, he is an avid hunter and since the start of the season has already gone to Texas, Michigan and Georgia, killed a couple at his camp around here and is going to Texas again soon. I gave him a friend's number so he can get set up in Virginia as well. I've never eaten as much deer as I have since hanging out with him. By the time the Army moves me elsewhere I may have to start hunting.

Nice pictures, Smith. I miss the mountains. Hell, I miss having elevation of any sort. Damned South Louisiana.

You're in the sportsman's paradise though. Plenty of whatever to kill or catch.

I was in Stowe. I saw plenty of deer sign and a boat load of doe on the road, but nothing during legal hunting hours. I liked the fact that I got a bear tag along with my visitor license. I did not see any bear though.

One of the guys we were hunting with got a bear the first day of Rifle season. First time him or any of us had seen a bear in the woods. Very small though, barely 100lbs

We have elevation here, it is just backwards to what you are used to. Also if you want to do some hunting let me know, I have a nice place to duck hunt.
