The Event
Who else is watching this tv show? It's a sci-fi mystery on NBC. I'm kind of a sucker for sci-fi mysteries.
With only 3 episodes, I'm enjoying it so far, even if it's a little predictable.

I'm not sure how the writers can drag this show out for more than 2 seasons unless they add more substantial mysteries.
Predictable, not as good as Lost, and if it doesn't get a lot better in the next 2 or 3 episodes, I'm going to stop watching it.
Throwing a million characters and some BS science shit doesn't make it "like Lost." Lost was only good when it focused on the character development. That's why the last 3 seasons were terrible, and the third season was mediocre.

Bones is a pretty good show but it has House-itis (all the cases are predictable and the same)
"The Event" is what I call it when I take a shit.
Also Running Wilde is the best new show.

also i was watching the second half or so of this rather trite government intrigue show where there was a tense negotiation going on and a love interest in the middle, pretty much stuff we've already seen before often enough in the past decade. and i couldn't figure out in the slightest what the intrigue was all about.
A lot of it, in particular the moment-to-moment happenings, was pretty damn predictable: who was going to get punched by whom and when, how the negotiation was going to proceed, that the guy was going to find the hidden camera after the agent stepped out of the room, etc. It's the government thriller version of well-worn, over-used sitcom devices.

Oh right, and I found out this show was an episode of The Event. And I'm not going to rush home to see it anytime soon.

I've been watching it; it's okay I guess, as is Chase and the new Hawaii Five 0. That said, it does have a lot of well-worn cliches and plot points. I too don't see the show lasting unless there are substantial changes.
Yeah, The Event is becoming horribly predictable, but I still want to know what "the event" is and why these "aliens" are here.
My guess are the aliens are really just people from the distant future who've come back in time to witness some event and warn people or some shit.
What cracks me up the most about this show is that NBC has little deconstruction videos for each episode to "break it down" for you. The plot isn't that hard to follow. I watched one, and it was completely retarded.
If this show has a longer run than Kings it will be a travesty.
Agreed. Although I could see why that show had such a hard time, I still think its one of Ian McShanes best roles outside of Deadwood.
Also, to stay on topic, the Event is a load of shit.
i wish it were as good as it should be, with hurwitz writing it and arnett and serafinowicz starring in it, but i've been pretty let down by it so far. it's funny, but forgettable.
well nobody cares about the cases it's all about the characters and the quality of the writing -- however house's biggest problems arrived when the writers figured out that nobody cared about the cases and took that as a cue to turn the show into a soap opera and forgot how to write good

I just started watching Running Wilde and boy it sure is a lot better on paper than in practice
parks and rec needs to come back it was really good last season
parks and rec was terrible but not as terrible as outsourced

Nope i couldn't tolerate any single episode of the show period.
I can't even tolerate the advertisements for outsourced though
well the first season did suck, bad but the second season is streets ahead of it
also at least we can both agree that outsourced is horrible
Outsourced is almost as terrible as Better With You.
I watched an episode of Outsourced on Hulu one time.
