hey KT did you read Age of X Alpha it seems like something right up your alley (terrible alternate reality crap)
I was especially disappointed since it's by Mike Carey, who I really like on X-Men Legacy. I'll probably give it some more chances but it's not looking good considering how boring this intro issue was.

I'm not that interested in the characters and I find X-Men hard to break in to since there are like 20 different X titles.

This is literally the worst X-Men related thing since Grant Morrison's run on New X-Men
the new x-men series is p. good. they released a hardcover last week of the first 6 issues (the curse of the mutants main storyline), and 7 and 8 shouldn't be hard to find.
