Default Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

So I'm in wal-mart with my copy of the game in hand. I'm sick as a dog, (I never feel like I'm going to hurl, but I do right now!) and SHE decided we need to fucking grocery shop.

    :sigh:

I'm pretty sure that if you go ahead and puke in Wally World, SHE'll let you go home right now, whoever SHE is.

It's alright, Tengu. I hear the game isn't that good anyway. I hear it's much better to find someone else to play it and just watch, because the story is cool... But the game really isn't.

I heard the game is very good but very short. And the duel mode is a laugh too apparently.

I played a demo on the PS3 and it was awesome. But I hear you can blow through it in about 8 hours so I can't justify spending 60 dollars on it. I'll wait until there's a price drop before I snag it.

Yessir. I value their opinions and shit on shit. Also, the Metacritic score is lower than Mercenaries 2, which is a longer game anyway... So I'll probably side with that.

I played the demo. It was fun but very repetitive. Not sure I even finished it to be honest.

Yeah I played the demo too and was planning on buying it but with all the things I've heard, I'm probably just gonna rent it.

    Played the demo.

It gets a "meh" rating from me.

The demo got a 'pretty awesome' from me. 87% on the Casey scale (that's my scale)

But I'm easy to both please and displease.

I'm still debating on whether or not to get this game. I really like the Star Wars type games, some more than others of course. The demo was really cool and did its job by leaving me wanting more, but I don't know if $60 is really worth blowing on this thing. I would rent it, but I haven't rented a game in like 10 years, its just not my thing any more.

Has this game particularly blown anyone's mind like the commercials say it would...? If so, then I might think about getting it, until now I think I might hold onto my money.

    Hint: It's not worth $60.

Remarkably, the story's the best thing about the game.

The gameplay gets fairly repetitive - i.e. you have to use the same (usually cheap) moves over and over on specific bosses. Also, some of the advertised 'epic' sequences (star destroyer scene, anyone?) are excruciatingly boring.

It's only 8 hours long too...

    Seriously?

And I thought the US dollar wasn't worth anything.

It has nothing to do with exchange rates. It's almost a 1:1 ratio these days for us which makes the whole thing even more illogical.

Its pretty entertaining and the story is pretty good. Although the game is a bit short, the targetting is awful and the typical inconsistancies that you expect from Lucas are all there - I thoroughly enjoyed it, I started playing the campaign again straight after I finished it the first time, just to unlock everything.

That and im a shut in.

I tried the demo too and I was really dissapointed. They didn't really use the DMM too well. I also laughed when I destroyed a window and everything was pulled to the vacuum of space but my character.
