Jim Crow laws could do too much to hurt me. I'm thinking more like mandatory nazi-style race badges in conjunction with a reimagining of the Jim Crow laws under a different name, to get past the stigma.

race can be hard to determine visually. Only light-skinned blacks and dark skinned human beings would need the badges.
