What if the outdoors forum were a subforum of the sports forum at first? I'd like to see how much activity the place would get, and if it gets a lot of its own traffic, we can look into moving it into its own area. I'd like to minimize forum clutter, especially here at the beginning before we've even really tried being more open to new members.

Guns is a sport. Hunting fishing shooting are all considered to be done by sportsmen. See other sports play with balls. We actually have balls.

Since subforums receive less general traffic for the simple fact that they are less noticeable, you may be dooming this forum before it even starts.

Also motion to name the forum "It's 5am and I Smell Like Deer Piss"
