I have to say, the 5.25" bay speakers are not that bad. The bass sucks, and there's a barely aiudible bit of pickup, probably from the fans, but otherwise the sound is clear, undistorted, and surprisingly loud. I mean I genuinely did not expect the speakers to be as powerful as they are.

So I'm satisfied with them. I could see supplementing them with a subwoofer, but otherwise I really have no reason to use external speakers.

I have everything put together and running now except for the wireless adapter and graphics card, both of which I've yet to purchase. Installed Windows 7. Had some problems with strip of serial molex connectors to the power supply, but found the problem was a loose pin in one of them (god molex connectors are crude, though effective), and now what all I have is working.
