Well, if you get BSOD, it isn't a big deal at all. It just means you've reached the limit, or something needs tweaking to increase the limit. All you do when you crash, is go into the bios and lower the settings to what they were. Same procedure as raising it to overclock it, except you turn the multiplier down and not up. And/or the vcore.
As for the RAM, yeah 5gb idle is quite a lot...you scanned for spyware and such? If you have, what the hell are you running in the background lol. My old pc of like 4 years without a wipe had 4gb and didn't get higher than 2gb while idle. Also yeah, having more than 50% used RAM constantly is very annoying.
I'm currently using 1.87gb (23%)
