Follow these instructions:

Firefox:
Get this:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/573

Then go to tools > cookie editor
Type in 'youtube'
Select VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE and replace the code (content field) with “O0pMCBlwgBI” (without the quotes)

You now have widescreen youtube!

Test video: (fmt=22 makes it 720p)
