I have been using Memorex and Dynex (Best Buy brand) for years.

Personally I use the second best rated disc media, Verbatim. Apparently, and this is from a while ago, Taiyo Yuden is the best, and the only place I've seen it is on Newegg. More expensive than most media, and I normally only buy discs when I really need them and when they are on sale.

Here's my source of the above info:

Turns out Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim may be one in the same.

Have either of you noticed the disks degrading after a while? Assuming they were stored in a dry, cool, dark place and all.

I have a 100-pack of 'best quality' DVD+Rs from Fry's for $15 that happened to have the ID of MCC 004. According to that website, they are first class disks, so I'm planning on using those. However after I run out, I am looking at spending $$$ depending if I can figure out if top quality disks are worth it or not.
