What would be a good and safe music program to download music and then put on your Itunes? I used to use limewire but it Isn't that safe so I don't use it anymore. I'd even consider paying monthly for a music downloading program.

uTorrent
If you'd consider paying, then Amazon all the way.
Hey I'm kinda in the same boat. I need a place where I can get individual songs safely and for free. I get all my mixtapes from datpiff, but I want to get some older music as well. Oh and no torrents, I don't know how to use that shit.
I miss albumbase.
Oh yeah and if there is a secret place out there, or a place you don't feel comfortable posting, shoot me a PM!
Same with drunkmike. If you need it to be kept secret just PM me. I'll check out that Amazon farva.
Well if torrents are the best route, how the hell does it all work? I really think I've tried in the past but just got confused. I'm really gonna need yall to hold my hand if thats the path I take!
uTorrent is one of the easiest things to use. Ever.
Yeah download the uTorrent program, then use isohunt.com to search for your stuff. Only albums though but the other guy said you can download only certain songs but I don't.
blogspots. That's for downloading whole albums though.
When I just want a single song I use Limewire. If you are smart about it you'll be less likely to catch a virus. Compare file sizes and scan anything you download with anti-virus software.
If that's too complicating for you, I'd use Amazon since it's one of the few online music stores that sell DRM-free mp3s. (Meaning there are no restrictions on how you use or play the file)
Sometimes you can use google. You can even setup firefox to search for them from the address bar. So I just type music RHCP or whatever to see if I can find a song. Sometimes you can find albums this way but torrents are better for that.

Well since your open to paying for it I mean whats so wrong with using iTunes? They have the music store and all you know.
Lets see where to start. Torrents are not rocket science dude. If there was a secret place its secret for a reason (to keep noobs like you out) and if you are told then its not so secret anymore. Also lets be honest if you can't figure out something like torrents you won't be able to handle the secret places either.
As far as how torrents work, for GOD sakes when the fuck did everyone on this forum get so lazy they can't just fucking google. Here i'll give you the first freaking link from googleing "how do torrents work" http://netforbeginners.about.com/od/...nthandbook.htm
Now go and learn something for yourself and bother to look stuff up, if you can't figure it out then after you read the information on the net then feel free to ask specific questions, not just a broad how does it work.
Also uTorrents website has a tremendous amount of info for setting up the software and informaiton about torrents
I generally torrent my stuff (I use Transmission), but I also use Google.
Try wrapping an artist name or album in quotation marks and putting "megaupload" or "rapidshare" afterwards.
Here's an example:
I've found download links to even the most obscure bands this way.

The fiery red Torino rolled to the curb, we hit the pavement ready for action.
My father found this program from a guy he works with called emule. Downloaded it and it works similar to limewire.
emule.com/
www.hypemachine.com is a good way to find single songs semi-legally. I've found quite a few things through that at times that I was too lazy to torrent it.
Also there's this totally rad program called kazaa has anybody herd ovit?
Semi-legally? are you kidding, its either legal or not.
And yeah everyone has heard of kazaa and knows it is no longer cool at all and in fact sucks ass, welcome to 10 years ago.
Em I'll throw this out there, they are still a ton of people doing the DC++ thing. Make sure you get the real client from the real place not some bloated spyware filled crap, and if you can't figure out torrents good luck setting it up. If you really want to then RTFM and figure it out, its not terribly complicated but its not idiot proof.

If you like a song and its on youtube, you can conert it to MP3 very easy with this website. If you're worried about the audio quality, look for a video with no video, just like the album cover with the music playing.

Really simple to pull off. Good for rare songs somebody put on Youtube.
