    Default Canverting avi to DVD and burn

    Here's the deal, I have a bunch of .avi files that I want to play on my DVD player. I need a decent software that can convert the file and make a half decent menu for playing in the DVD player. Since I'm not up on all the geek speak I get lost in the techno-babel when searching for this sort of program. I was hoping someone here point me in the right direction.

    The avi files are 20 min long TV shows, I would like to put 6-8 (or as many as I can cram on there) of them on each disk an be able to have a functioning chapter menu and play all option on a main DVD menu.

    Nero, Roxio, or Adobe Encore. Nero and Roxio are pretty basic but they get the job done. Adobe's solution is pretty advance and takes some time to get used to

    I use ConvertXtoDVD myself. It works out pretty well and is really straightforward to use.

    Also a dvd can hold 8 videos of the length you're looking at on each disc without messing up.

    I second this, I find this program to be fairly straight forward.

    I use Nero Vision and it works pretty well.
