Thread: Really easy headset question

is there any way i can buy a device that would let me convert a pc gaming headset into, say, one compatible with an xbox controller?

a name of said device would be amazing.

For Xbox 360, I know you can at least use an original Xbox headset to talk. No mute switch, but I play with my friends anyways, so nothing to block.

As for other headsets, I think all you need is a 3.5mm to 2.5mm headphone jack. Where it gets a little iffy is the wiring of the headset itself. If the headset is similar in layout internally to the 360 headset, it should work fine. It'll cost you about $5 max, depending upon where you look. RadioShack will probably charge more than that, so I would suggest Monoprice or Amazon for the purchase.
