Default Ripping clips from movies help

    Hey guys, I need help.

I was going to make a montage of all the American Wars for my school project, but problem is, I don't have a mac. I'd have to upload all the movies onto Windows Movie Maker which seems near impossible. Do you guys know anything else that makes it easy to take a clip from a downloaded movie?

Also, any tips for my project if I succeed? I was going to have a cool background song per war and you guys could list a cool song or movies to help.

I already have The Patriot, The Alamo, Saving Private Ryan, All Quiet on the Western Front, and my favorite Apocalypse Now. I was also going to play Dream On by Aerosmith during the Vietnam War but these are only my hopes since I don't even know if I can even do this idea.

Hmm well my teacher said that all the wars are too broad. he said only do the Vietnam Era and the Civil Rights movement, which is perfect since most of your suggestions are around that time.

Well for the civil rights movement you need to use 'Brown Sugar' by the Rolling Sones.

Well I just finished my project. Turns out I didn't have the Spielberg skills I thought I had.

I couldn't really implement your ideas too much but here it is if you guys want to check it out.
