So I'm looking to do some upgrades to my desktop.
I think I'm going to buy a Intel e8400 Wolfdale processor and a Gigabyte X48 GS5 Motherboard. I was going to go with an i7 setup but I'm tight on money.
Anyway, in my current desktop setup I have an Asus P5B-e motherboard, an Intel Core 2 Duo e6400 @ 2.13ghz. I also have a set of dual channel DDR2 800 2GB of RAM. As well as a MSI 256mb Nvidia 7600GT.
I was thinking of selling the whole bulk at $250-$300 which I think is a fair price. Everything will come in original packaging and besides being dusty, it's in good shape. Never OC'ed or any of that and used Arctic Silver 7 to keep the CPU nice and cool. I could even throw in a Freezer Pro 7.
Do you think that price range is fair? I hate how much memory lost its value in 2.5 years. When I bought that memory it was $200. I'll be lucky if I get $10 or $15 for it.
On a semi-related note, my friend is willing to sell me his 8800GTS for $80. Will my power supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817189005
Be good enough to handle it? I'd have 4gb of DDR2 800 and 2-3 HDDs in the case. I think it should be ok. Don't know how much power the 8800 needs
