Default New Video Card. Worse Video Quality?

Ok heres the deal. Before I had a Geforce 7300le and recently upgraded to a 9500gt.As for running games it works way fucking better, I know its not the top of the line but it works for what I play which isn't crysis.

But anyways, last night I watched a movie with my old card, and with my new LCD widescreen monitor it was fucking crisp great sharp quality. But the video card was fucked because it kept showing pink and otgher colored rectangles everywhere. Well today my new card comes in and I test it with the same movie to see how the quality is, and it looks pretty much liek crap standard def quality.

    Heres the new card: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...3SHIP-_-03ship

It says on there it has 1080p support and considering its a newer model than my old one you'd think it'd play the video the same if not better, but it seems to be worse

Also I did update my drivers. So its not that.

Anyone have any idea what could be up?

I just spent a really long time trying to figure out why you bought a 7 year old video card

What? It came out last year

Anyways its because my computer is old, my PSU is weak and the 9500gt works with it and isn't even that bad.

Did you think I bought the 7300? If so that came with my computer 3 years ago when i bought it just never upgraded

Bad card, bad drivers, or a fucked up player setting. I'd try using a different player for the movie if possible. If that fails, return the card because it obviously sucks. Get a different brand.

Yeah if it's not XFX or EVGA return the shitter. Those are the two a trust, but MSI, BFG and PNY aren't half bad either. And while you're not a full blown PC gamer afaik, get a more respectable card. Even the 9600GT or 9800GT should run fine on your rig, pending the rest of your specs. Most Nvidia series make the point of having the 6 and above (9600, 9800, etc.) gamer cards, with teh higher being teh more powerful. 5 and below are relegated as business cards, lol. You know, except for the mindfuck that's the GTS and GTX series, not really.
