    Default So I ordered my new computer

    Here are the specs, I took quite a few suggestions from those who posted in my last thread, thank you for all the tips.

    Here it is (copy/pasted from the invoice):

    1 x Intel Core i7 920 Quad Core Processor LGA1366 2.66GHZ Bloomfield 8MB LGA1366 4.8GT/S

    1 x Thermaltake ISGC-400 Heatpipe CPU Cooler LGA1366 LGA775 AM2 W/ 120MM Fan 800-1300RPM 58.3CFM 16DBA

    1 x Gigabyte EX58-UD3R ATX LGA1366 X58 DDR3 2PCI-E 2PCI SATA2 RAID Sound GLAN CrossFireX Motherboard

    2 x Sapphire Radeon HD 4870 1GB GDDR5 PCI-E 2XDVI-I HDCP HDTV Out Video Card (Crossfired)

    I decided to pick up another 4870 and try out a crossfire setup simply out of curiosity, I figure I'm already spending the money on a new computer why not go try it out?

    Is that cooler compatible with the LGA 1366 socket? The description you gave makes it look to be a LGA 775/AM2 cooler.

    Otherwise, solid choices. That's a badass rig.

    From my (very limited) understanding, the CPU uses an LGA1366 socket and so does the fan? I may have not quite understood it as I placed my order, I'm sure we could get it fixed if they don't fit. Is anyone able to clarify on this issue?

    You'll get a little adapter cable to hook the two cards up. You'll be fine, just read the documentation.

    Well, in that case, you should see a noticeable performance increase compared to just one card, for instance, in a really graphic-intensive game.
