Default So if you're thinking of upgrading your PC...

Check to see if you have a MicroCenter store near you. Insanely low prices on CPUs. I am not advertising for the store, I am doing everyone here a favor:

i7 920 for $200! That's fucking low. Fortunately I am by Philly so I am going to head down to that store and get the q9550 for $170. Better than paying $220.

Their prices on everything else is relatively high but that's the cheapest I've seen on any of these CPUs.

Unfortanetely I don't have the funds to buy a new i7 bored and DDR3 memory.

Guess it depends upon the part. Just looked up the GTX260 I have, and I beat them by almost $50 through Newegg. But I guess it's still one of those things where you want it now, you pay more.

Where were you when I bought my shit? Haha. Unfortunately, there's no Microcenters around me so I just ate the cost. I buy everything from NewEgg because I always loved their service and speedy delivery. Their prices are pretty nice, too.

Hahah yeah sorry about that. But yeah I always buy from Newegg because they have the best prices around. But this is too good of an offer if you are fortunate enough to have one around. I'm lucky there was one in Philly while I'm here in Reading for the summer.

Click on Computer Hardware at the top and go down to Processors.

I just hit processors under computer hardware on the left before and it would only bring up 4 processors. That's weird. Good find though.

My bad about that. Should've read the OP better. Nonetheless, I am also right above Philly, and I think when I get a free day I'll just go down there to gawk at hardware I don't have yet, which is a lot, to say something. Being around hardware is like a strip club for nerds. What's the closest joint down there?

Well I just bought a Q9550 for myself and an i7 920 for my friend for $390. Nice. That store was like geek heaven. I wish I could have spent more time there.

Now I need to pick myself out a new motherboard and my new rig will be ready to rock.
